Dr. Trice Sumner is a graduate of the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Science. She received her dental education at the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry and completed her residency at The Children’s Hospital of Denver, where she was honored as chief resident. Dr. Sumner is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, Southeastern Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and the Mississippi Dental Association. She is an active staff member of North Mississippi Medical Center and Surgery Center. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Sumner’s pediatric dental degree requires an additional two years of study following the completion of her four-year dental degree. This special training allows her to provide treatment for a wide variety of children’s dental problems. Dr. Sumner is also trained to treat special patients who may have emotional or physical handicaps. We believe the primary way to implement the latest technology is by placing a strong emphasis on continuing education. Each year Dr. Sumner attends continuing education courses in order to stay on the forefront of children’s dental care and remain well informed.
